This rare, discontinued “Made in Japan” Jazzmaster is a “Competition” model, featuring the racing stripe most commonly associated with Fender’s Mustang models. The custom color finish has a bluish purple hue, officially known as Jupiter Blue.

Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fretboard, and this Jazzmaster weighs 8lbs 5oz. There's plenty of sparkle and percussive cut on tap, with a range of defined and powerful tones from the two alnico magnet pickups. Warmer, wooly sounds can be accessed via the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn. This JM66/CO has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
