Up for sale, a 2010 Edwards by ESP model E-PB-95R/LT bass in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Expertly crafted in Japan and rarely seen outside its country of origin, this quality take on the Precision Bass features a solid ash body, hard maple neck, and thick slab rosewood fretboard. The stock Seymour Duncan SPB-2 pickup channels a massive, powerful low end with excellent string definition, and via the Dual Mode push/push Tone control, the split coil pickup can operate in either series or parallel for an extended range. This bass weighs 10lbs 4oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with roundwound 45-105 strings and dialed in with comfortable action and accurate intonation.
The hard maple neck has a modestly slender C-shaped profile carve with moderate shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .825“ deep at the 1st fret and .975” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard features dot inlay and medium jumbo fretwire. The scale length is a full 34", and the carved bone nut measures 42mm (1.653") in width. On the headstock, the stock clover button tuning machines turn smoothly and hold pitch well.
On the body, the electronics function as intended with a Master Volume knob and Tone control that features Dual Mode push/push functionality for the Seymour Duncan split coil pickup. The nickel-plated hardware shows just a hint of surface patina, and the black three-ply pickguard shows requisite scuffing in the pick path. The gloss Vintage White finish finish features genuine nitro lacquer over a poly base coat, the same finish combination used on Fenders in the '60s. The nitro lacquer shows light wear on the belly carve on the back, with a few faint finish scratches in the clear coat on the body as a whole. The ambered gloss finish on the neck profile is smooth and pristine.
