Up for sale, a 2009 Limited Edition J. Custom RG8470Z in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, CoA and factory documentation. This Ibanez was produced in very small numbers from 2008 to early 2009 in Japan by Ibanez’s elite Custom Guitar Craft Edition luthiers, featuring premium cosmetic appointments, tonewoods, and components including an Edge Zero tremolo with ZPS3 stabilizer and DiMarzio pickups.
Tonewoods include a mahogany body with a two-piece bookmatched flame maple top, three-piece maple neck with walnut stringers, and a 24-fret bound rosewood fretboard. The humbucker in the bridge position is a DiMarzio Tone Zone, a bold and powerful high-output pickup that offers great low end and lower-midrange response to ensure the tone stays full and fat. The neck humbucker is a DiMarzio Air Norton, a warm, open-sounding pickup designed with a unique magnetic structure to reduce string pull and increase sustain while maintaining dynamic feel and responsiveness to user inputs. The central single coil is a DiMarzio True Velvet, with single coil shimmer and snap, blending well with the humbuckers at the “in-between” positions on the five-way pickup selector switch. This Ibanez weighs 8lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.

The gloss Red Spinel finish highlights the tight, wall-to-wall flame figuring in the bookmatched maple top, and this is a clean example, with cosmetic wear limited to a scant few faint finish scratches in the clear coat and light buckle wear on the plastic tremolo cavity cover. The satin finish on the neck profile is immaculate.
