Up for sale, a 2009 Ibanez George Benson Signature model GB200 in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This discontinued Ibanez model is an upper-tiered, updated version of the long-running GB10 platform, featuring a slightly larger (16” wide, 3 1/8“ deep) fully-hollow body with an arched spruce top and highly figured maple back and rims, replete with premium cosmetic appointments and loaded with a pair of Super 58 humbuckers.
A three-piece mahogany/maple/mahogany neck and bound ebony fingerboard round out the tonewoods, and this GB200 weighs 7lbs 6oz. The Super 58 pickups are a versatile and dynamic pair of humbuckers, featuring a PAF-style tonal palette; the bridge pickup is snappy and articulate, and the neck has a full, throaty roundness, with an inherent smoothness accentuated by the flatwound strings. This GB200 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 flatwound strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
