Up for sale, a 2009 Fender Stratocaster ‘57 vintage reissue model ST57-DMC in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. A model made exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and rarely seen outside its country of origin, this guitar features a trio of DiMarzio DCS-3 Full Range Impact ceramic magnet pickups.

Tonewoods include a basswood body and one-piece maple neck, and this Strat has a balanced, clear natural acoustic response. Wound in the traditional single coil 5k ohms range, the ceramic magnets pickups offer more authority and cut than a traditional alnico design, sounding distinct and clear in all positions on the five-way switch. This Strat weighs 7lbs 12oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh 10-46 strings, low action and spot-on intonation.

The one-piece maple neck has a modestly chunky C-shaped profile carve with generous shoulder in every register, measuring .855“ deep at the 1st fret and .915” at the 12th. The maple fretboard has a vintage spec 7 1/4" radius and flawless slender fretwire which plays cleanly up the 25 1/2” scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 42mm (1.650") in width. On the headstock, the Kluson-style tuners turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch, with a light dusting of patina across the buttons.

All the electronics work as intended, with the DiMarzio Collection pickups wired to a five-way selector switch and standard Volume/Tone/Tone controls. The cream pickup covers have “DiMarzio Collection” silkscreen logos. The vibrato features a full-size block for optimal sustain and resonance, actuating easily for expressive warbles and dives. The bridge base and jack cup have bright chrome plating, with an even dusting of patina across the Fender-embossed saddles. This is a particularly well-kept example, with cosmetic wear on the gloss Black finish limited to a scant few light finish scratches on the body as a whole. The ambered gloss finish on the neck profile is pristine.

The original Fender-branded padded gigbag is included.
