Up for sale, a 2009 Fender Jazzmaster ‘62 vintage reissue model JM66/MH in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This “Made in Japan” Jazzmaster is a discontinued model, designed for sale within Japan and uncommon outside its country of origin, featuring a gloss Old Lake Placid Blue finish with matching headstock.
Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, and this guitar has an authoritative, clear sound when strummed acoustically that’s faithfully translated through the original alnico magnet single coil pair. These pickups offer plenty of definition and sparkling cut, with warmer, wooly sounds via the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn. This Jazzmaster JM66/MH weighs 7lbs 15oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium C, measuring .845” 1st fret, .920” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood, vintage-spec 7 1/4” radius
-Frets: Slender, no wear
-Scale Length: 25 1/2”
-Nut: 1.650” (42mm), bone
-Tuners: Kluson-style, Gotoh
-Serialization: “Made in Japan,” T-prefix
-Factory Markings: Model stamp on neck heel
Body Specs:
-Wood: Alder
-Pickups: JM-Single single coil x2
-Controls: Volume & Tone (Rhythm/Lead Circuits), Three-way pickup selector
-Hardware: Vibrato, bridge with spiral (threaded) saddles
-Plastics: Three-ply mint pickguard, gently aged knobs/pickup covers
This particular iteration of Lake Placid Blue is abbreviated "OLB" in the Fender Japan catalog for Old Lake Placid Blue, denoting a darker and more vintage-correct shade of this classic custom color than previous Fender Japan offerings. Cosmetic wear is limited to some mild pick scuffing across the guard and some minor dings and finish scratches, largely limited to the lower bout. The ambered gloss on the neck profile is flawless, highlighting subtle flame figuring in the maple.
The original Fender-branded gigbag is included.
***We are dealers for the Mastery bridge, OMV-P Offset Vibrato, and Lollar pickups, any or all of which can be installed prior to shipment for an additional charge***
