Up for sale, a 2009 Edwards by ESP E-SN-150FR electric guitar in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Crafted in Japan under ESP's Edwards banner, this premium Superstrat features a bound quilted maple top and matching headstock veneer, maple neck and fretboard, and solid alder body. Loaded with the stock HSH pickup configuration of USA-made Seymour Duncans, this Edwards boasts a versatile sonic arsenal.
The Seymour Duncan SH-1 neck pickup was designed in the spirit of the original PAF, with sweet singing sustain, wound to deliver full-sounding chords and articulate midrange attack, while the middle position Classic Stack Plus provides classic S-style chime with a balanced response and hum-cancelling functionality. The Duncan Custom TB-5 Trembucker in the bridge position is a medium output humbucker that features a small ceramic magnet and custom-wound coils to dish out a “PAF-on-steroids” tone. It has tight lows, a bump in the upper midrange that gives you more character and crunch, and an airy high end that cuts through heavy distortion. Adding to the guitar's versatility, the five-way Super Switch pickup selector features coil splitting functionality in positions 2 and 4. This Edwards weighs 8lbs 4oz and has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, accurate intonation, and low action.
The maple neck has a slender C shaped profile with good shoulder and faintly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .815” deep at the 1st fret and .880” at the 12th. The slab maple fretboard features abalone dot inlay and pristine stock jumbo fretwire with a full 24 fret range. The guitar plays easily up the straight neck with an ideally adjusted and responsive truss rod, sporting a 12” fretboard radius. The scale length is 25 1/2“, and the locking nut measures 1 5/8“ in width. On the headstock, the original chrome Gotoh tuners turn smoothly and work as they should.
On the body, the stock electronics include a five-way pickup selector switch, and Master Volume and Tone controls for the HSH pickup configuration. The chrome hardware has ample shine save for patina on the trem arm, and the genuine Floyd Rose locking tremolo excels at deep dives and expressive gestures. Cosmetic wear is limited to a couple stray marks at the top lower bout body edge. The neck profile sports a pristine smooth satin finish.
