Up for sale, a 2008 Mosrite ‘65 PW #60 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. An exceptionally accurate iteration of the Ventures model platform, this rare Japanese-made Mosrite was crafted at the Fillmore factory, retaining all the essential features of an early 1965 Ventures Model including smooth knobs, a sandcast Vibramute vibrato, and prominent German Carve on the basswood body. And while sparingly little information can be found on this particular iteration, it appears to hail from a limited run rarely seen on the vintage market, sporting an uncommon print of Semie Moseley’s signature on the headstock face.
Few guitars have a more storied history than the Mosrite brand, especially in the modern era, and this particular guitar is a rare, upper-tiered model crafted by Fillmore in Japan. Perhaps best known for being imported to the USA by Ed Roman and also for their partnership with Dana Moseley, Mosrite founder Semie Moseley's daughter, Fillmore crafted extremely faithful Mosrites, worthy of Semie Moseley's legacy.
The stock pair of single coil pickups have ample power and midrange content, wound to vintage-spec and measuring at 13k ohms at both the neck and bridge positions. These single coils are meaty and rich, with tons of twang and a broad bass register not often afforded a single coil, providing an authoritative sound that's quintessential Mosrite. Weighing 8lbs 12oz, this ‘65 PW #60 has been professionally set up here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Pearl White finish shows moderate yellowing of the clear coat, with pick wear across the guard, a touch of buckle scuffing on the upper bout of the back, and some minor marks and dings on the rest of the body, most prominent on the lower bout perimeter. The gloss on the neck profile is flawless, and there are a few tiny chips at the points on the back of the headstock.
The original faux alligator hardshell case is included.
