Up for sale, a 2008 Jackson Stars Randy Rhoads model RR-J1E in showroom clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. An uncommon Japanese domestic market series, the Jackson Stars instruments are the direct descendants of the Grover Jackson line, expertly crafted at the Chu Shin factory. Originally commissioned by the late, great Randy Rhoads, his namesake guitar was actually the first Jackson made, with an unmistakable aggressive V body shape. This particular premium iteration of the Rhoads platform boasts a number of top-tier features including a 5A flame maple top, neck-through construction, a genuine Floyd Rose tremolo, and a pair of EMG 81 pickups.
The maple neck-through construction ensures great natural sustain and resonance, paired with the glassy articulation inherent to the ebony fingerboard. The EMG 81 pickups utilize ceramic magnets and close aperture coils, designed for optimal note detail, enhanced high end cut, and fluid sustain, engineered so that lead work will slice through even the densest mix with an aggressive snarl. The bridge is sharp and focused, and the neck is big and burly while retaining great articulation. Lightweight at 7lbs 6oz, this Randy Rhoads RR-J1E has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.
