2008 Ibanez Prestige J Craft RG1570 Suede Black SDB, Mint Condition w/ Case & Tags, Japan

+ shipping

Up for sale, a 2008 Ibanez Prestige J Craft model RG1570 in showroom clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, manual, and all hangtags. This is a rare upscale example of a Japanese-made Ibanez Prestige with a satin Suede Black finish only available from 2007-2008, a trio of special design Dimarzio V and S pickups, and an Edge Pro tremolo system.

A triple pickup HSH affair with a V7/S1/V8 pickup complement, the humbucker sounds are pure high gain power, designed to keep things cutting, focused, and clear with excellent feedback rejection. On the five-way switch, settings 2-4 offer various shadings of single coil snap and sparkle, coil-tapping the humbuckers and combining them with the centrally located single coil. The guitar weighs 7lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action and spot-on intonation.

The maple and walnut five-piece neck has Ibanez's revered Wizard Prestige shape, which is notably slender and fast-feeling, measuring .715” deep at the 1st fret and .810” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard features mini dot inlay and stock jumbo fretwire that shows virtually no wear, playing effortlessly up the arrow straight neck with an ideally adjusted truss rod. The guitar boasts a full 25 1/2" scale and 43mm nut width (just fractionally wider than 1 11/16"). The headstock has Cosmo black Gotoh tuners and a locking nut that ensures optimal tuning stability even with heavy tremolo use.

The body has a simple and sleek control layout, with a five-way pickup selector switch and Master Volume and Tone knobs. The Edge Pro tremolo has improved sustain over the older Edge system, and was designed by Ibanez to give the player the fast tremolo response and snap needed to pull off sharp bends and flutters. The Suede Black satin finish has barely a scratch on it, and the clear protective factory plastic is still intact on the rear control cavity cover, a testament to the sparingly little use this guitar has seen in the past 14 years. The neck profile is pristine with a smooth satin finish.

The original hardshell case is included, along with the manual and all hangtags.
