2008 Ibanez JS1600 Joe Satriani Signature Model Premium Silver, Showroom Clean w/ Case

Up for sale, a 2008 Ibanez JS1600 Joe Satriani signature model in like-new condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, manual, and tools. The JS1600 is a discontinued model, only available from 2008-2010. It's ultra-fast and aggressive when needed, and expressive and accurate as well, loaded with Dimarzio's Fred humbucker in the bridge position and PAF Pro at the neck.With its solid mahogany body and fixed bridge design, the JS1600 has excellent natural sustain and warmth. The Fred has a subtle midrange bump, with great sensitivity to pick attack and control tweaks, and its distinctive tone makes a great recorded sound for both penetrating solos and tight rhythm tracks. The PAF Pro has excellent transparency, ideal for slicing through heavy processing, where darker-sounding pickups get lost in the mud of the effects chain. Low notes have both snap and chunk, with a vowel-like midrange, and crisp trebles. The JS1600 weighs 7lbs 14oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.The maple neck has Ibanez's JS Prestige profile carve with lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .785" deep at the 1st fret and .865" at the 12th. The dark slab 22 fret rosewood board has a 250mm (10") radius with flawless 6105 frets that have lots of meat. The nut measures 42mm in width (1.650"), and the headstock features locking Ibanez-branded chrome-plated tuning machines that turn smoothly and hold pitch reliably.The straightforward electronics function flawlessly, comprising a three-way pickup selector toggle, Master Volume (with High-Pass filter), and Master Tone (with coil tap). The chrome plating on the hardware shines like new, the clear protective factory film is still intact on the control cavity cover, and the Premium Silver gloss body finish has barely a scratch on it. The satin finish on the neck profile is equally pristine.The original molded hardshell case is included along with the manual and adjustment wrenches.
