Up for sale, a 2008 Gibson Les Paul Studio in 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtag. Featuring all mahogany body construction, the guitar has a commanding natural bark that translates well through a pair of  Burstbucker Pro PAF humbuckers. The Burstbucker Pros are a slightly hot-rodded version of Gibson's Burstbucker PAF, with unmatched bobbin windings and Alnico V magnets (in place of the usual Alnico II). The sound is fat and meaty, interacting well with high gain amps and providing excellent feedback rejection while having a general tonal profile consistent with the PAF design. Whether you seek warm, silky neck pickup tonalities or bridge pickup sounds that have some push and growl, this Les Paul is a great candidate for covering a wide range of genres. The guitar is featherweight at 7lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and solid intonation. The one-piece mahogany neck has a medium C profile carve with round shoulders, firmly in the ‘60s camp for Gibson neck carves yet with a hair more heft than some of their more slender shapes, measuring .830" deep at the 1st fret and .975" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard retains the original fretwire, just shy of medium jumbo with just a touch of wear on the crowns of frets 1-5 beneath the plain strings. The guitar plays cleanly in every register up the straight neck with an ideally adjusted, responsive truss rod. The nut measures a full 1 11/16" in width, and the face of the headstock retains the "Studio" truss rod cover. Present on the reverse side of the headstock, the original Gibson Deluxe tuning machines turn smoothly with greened tulip buttons. The stock electronics work as they should, with a three-way pickup selector toggle and individual Volume and Tone controls for each pickup. The chrome hardware has plenty of shine, and all original plastics are accounted for including the quartet of black speed knobs and single-ply pickguard which shows some light pick scuffing. The satin Walnut (or Worn Brown) nitro lacquer finish is notably clean with just a few minor marks essentially relegated to the back. The satin finish on the neck profile is flawless. The original Gibson USA hardshell case and hangtag is included.
