Up for sale, a 2008 Fender Rosewood Stratocaster ST68B-Rose in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag and hangtags. This rare, non-catalog "Made in Japan" Fender Strat is unique both visually and sonically, featuring a multi-ply bound basswood body with rosewood veneers on the top/back, a gloss-finished rosewood fretboard on a maple neck (complete with rosewood peghead veneer), and a trio of USA-made Fender Custom Shop Texas Special pickups.

The Custom Shop Fender Texas Special single coils match vintage spec with black fiber bobbins, cloth-covered leads and staggered alnico magnets. The guitar has a smooth, balanced natural acoustic quality, and each position on the five-way pickup selector is distinct. The bridge pickup has a rich, overwound sparkle and sweet bark, while the neck pickup is fat and full-sounding with a bell-like treble chime. This Strat weighs 7lbs 13oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss finish on the top and back highlights the grain of the rosewood, framed by multi-ply binding. The rims and neck profile have a gloss black finish, and cosmetic wear is limited to just a couple faint finish scratches in the clear coat on the body.

The original gigbag is included, along with the hangtags/factory documentation. The serialized hangtag dates to the 20th year of the Heisei era (2008), explaining the crossover between a "Crafted in Japan" hangtag and "Made in Japan" serialization, as 2008 was the transitional year between these eras of branding.
