Up for sale, a 2008 Fender Jazz Bass ‘75 vintage reissue model JB75-100US in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with a Fender SKB molded hardshell case and hangtags. One of the rarer top-tier Jazz Bass models produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market (and now discontinued), this "Crafted in Japan" model features factory-installed USA-made Fender pickups.

Weighing 9lbs 12oz with an ash body, there's a strong fundamental punch and sustain to the tone, and the low end is thick and focused, balanced by the inherent articulation and note attack of the maple fretboard. The pickups are the same seen on Fender’s American Standard Jazz Bass; the bridge pickup has a clarity and growl, balanced by the fuller thump of the neck position single coil, and naturally many of the instrument's best tones come from finding the perfect blend between the two. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Jazz Bass is strung with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a medium depth U-shaped profile carve with generous shoulders, measuring .830” deep at the 1st fret and .975” at the 12th. The bound maple fretboard sports block inlay, and the medium jumbo fretwire is pristine. This bass plays cleanly up the 34” scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod, and the bone nut measures 1 1/2“ in width. The headstock features a bullet truss rod nut and full-size vintage-style Fender tuners with clover buttons, which turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch. The S-prefix serial number is below the Jazz Bass logo, and the "Crafted in Japan" text is present above the three-bolt “F” neck plate.

All of the electronics work as they should, with the pickups governed by Volume/Volume/Tone controls and a stock harness with full-size Japanese pots and untouched solder joints. The hardware has plenty of shine including the bridge with barrel saddles, and plastics comprise the original three-ply white pickguard and “tug bar” finger rest.

The gloss Natural finish highlights particularly unique, dynamic grain in the ash body, and cosmetic wear is limited to just one solitary ding central to the lower bout on the back. The smooth gloss on the neck profile is flawless and highlights flame figuring in the maple.

The original Fender-branded molded hardshell case is included, along with the Japanese hangtags.
