Up for sale, a 2008 Fender Competition Mustang '73 vintage reissue model MG73-CO in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Made exclusively for the Japanese market, this Mustang is rarely seen outside its country of origin, featuring a gloss Olympic White finish and matching headstock, accented by a dark blue racing stripe. Often considered to rival Fender's US production in terms of overall quality, this Mustang is a testament to the workmanship and eye for detail evident in the Crafted in Japan Fender models.
The guitar is featherweight at 7lbs 1oz, and the crisp, jangling voice when strummed acoustically translates well through the pickups. The single coil pickups have a clear, cutting tone, and the on/off/on pickup selector switches can also engage the distinctive Mustang out-of-phase sound. This Mustang has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
