Up for sale, a 2008 Fender Competition Mustang MG73-CO ‘73 reissue in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Made exclusively for the Japanese market, this discontinued Mustang model is rarely seen outside its country of origin, featuring a gloss Fiesta Red finish and matching headstock, accented by a cream racing stripe. Rivaling Fender's US production, this Mustang is a testament to the workmanship and eye for detail evident in the Crafted in Japan Fender models.
Weighing 7lbs 4oz, this Mustang has a crisp, jangly voice when strummed acoustically that translates well through the pickups. The single coil pickups have a clear, cutting tone, and the on/off/on pickup selector switches can also engage the distinctive Mustang out-of-phase sound when in the innermost and outermost positions.
