Up for sale, a 2008 Fender American Vintage ‘62 Telecaster Custom in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A discontinued model, this American Vintage Telecaster faithfully recreates the finer points of a ‘62 Tele Custom, boasting a slab rosewood fretboard, three-ply pickguard, and double-bound alder body.
This American Vintage ‘62 Telecaster Custom has a big, ringing acoustic voice which translates well through the original pair of single coils. These pickups feature black bobbins, cloth-covered leads, and staggered beveled alnico magnet pole pieces in the bridge position, yielding chewy twang and sparkle with a nice midrange kick. The neck pickup has a silky smooth quality and bell-like chime. This American Vintage ‘62 Telecaster Custom weighs 7lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
