Up for sale, a 2019 B.C. Rich Mockingbird Legacy ST in like-new condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag and manual. Flaunting head-turning contours since 1976, the Mockingbird model lives on with the Legacy ST. A auality build with premium woods, vast tonal options, and top shelf hardware, the Mockingbird Legacy ST features neck through construction with a quilted maple top and thick slab genuine ebony fretboard. Grover Imperial tuners and a genuine USA-made Floyd Rose vibrato are standard fare on this model, and the guitar comes equipped with the original DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers.
Designed as a set, the D Activators use specifically tuned coils to enhance the fundamental resonant points of the guitar, and the bridge pickup is about 25% louder than the neck for balanced switching between positions. The sound is powerful, clean, and open, with excellent harmonic overtones and very tight lows. The neck pickup is bold and bright-sounding with surprising string-to-string balance, while the bridge has an enriched harmonic quality that enables notes to sing. The guitar boasts a ton of tonal versatility, with a five-way rotary Varitone switch, individual coil tap mini toggles for each humbucker, and a phase mini toggle too. The guitar weighs 8lbs 7oz, with near endless sustain given the neck through construction. We've had this B.C. Rich professionally dialed in here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with fresh 9-42 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
The maple neck has a slender C shape with good shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .800" deep at the 1st fret and .865" at the 12th. The slab ebony fretboard features notched diamond inlay and pristine jumbo fretwire. The guitar plays well up the straight neck with an ideally adjusted and responsive truss rod, and conforms to traditional specifications with a 24 3/4" scale length, 12" fretboard radius, and locking nut that measures 1 11/16" in width. On the headstock, the genuine Grover Imperial tuners feature an extremely smooth and reliable gear ratio.
On the body, the electronics function as they should, and all of the stock knobs and switches are intact. The genuine USA-made Floyd Rose vibrato functions effortlessly for the deepest divebombs, and the original screw-on arm is included. The maple neck through body is framed by mahogany wings with wenge stringers, and capped with deep and dimensional quilted maple highlighted by a high gloss Honey Burst finish. There's barely a scratch on the guitar, and the factory protective plastic is still intact on the rear control cavity and spring covers, indicative of the limited use this guitar has seen since new.
The original B.C. Rich-branded padded gigbag and manual are included.
