Up for sale, a 2007 Rickenbacker 660/12 in showroom-clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, hangtags, and case candy. Featuring one of Rickenbacker's rarest and most highly desirable Color of the Year finishes, this Ric's Blue Burst gloss is framed by checkerboard binding. And while Rickenbackers do surface occasionally from the 300 series with this rare finish, Blue Burst is an even rarer custom color option on 600 series guitars.

This 12 string Rickenbacker model has a sweet, singing tone from the pair of alnico magnet single coil Toaster Top pickups, fully capable of delivering the jangle and sparkle one expects. The neck through body ensures great acoustic resonance and sustain, providing a smooth, chiming sound for this 12 string platform. Weighing 7lbs 7oz, this Ric has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a medium-depth D-shaped profile carve with full shoulders, measuring .835" deep at the 1st fret and .895" at the 12th. The gloss-finished rosewood fretboard sports triangle inlays that stretch all the way to the fretboard edges, just like the Rickenbackers of the ‘60s, and the medium fretwire is practically perfect. This Ric plays cleanly up the 24 3/4“ scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rods, and the 1 3/4" wide nut provides ideal spacing for the string courses. The headstock features walnut wings and a gold lucite "Rickenbacker" truss rod cover. The Ric Deluxe single-line tuning machines turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch, with flawless chrome plating.

The electronics include individual Volume and Tone controls for each pickup and Rickenbacker's unique fifth knob that provides a smooth gradient for blending in the neck pickup when both pickups are engaged. The 07-prefix serial on the mono jack plate dates to 2007, and the chrome plating on the hardware shines like new, including the bridge cover, trapeze tailpiece, and 12 saddle bridge for fine-tuning the intonation. Plastics comprise the two tiered gold lucite pickguards, quintet of knobs and long baton switch tip.

The rare Blue Burst "Color of the Year" finish highlights the dimensional curly flame figuring in the maple body wings, particularly on the back. There's barely a scratch on the body, and the gloss on the neck profile is similarly immaculate.

The original molded Rickenbacker hardshell case is included, along with the original hangtags and polish cloth.
