Up for sale, a 2007 Mosrite USA Ventures Model American Standard Mark I 1965 vintage reissue electric guitar in showroom clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and factory paperwork. Produced by Mosrite licensee Fillmore in Japan, the "USA" line was made in exceedingly small quantities. While the hardware and bodies/necks were produced to extremely high standards by Fillmore in Japan, these guitars were assembled by Semie Moseley's daughter, Dana Moseley, in the USA, with custom pickups wound by Dana. All USA-made parts were used in the wiring harness as well. Dana was an employee of Fillmore at the time, and this partnership ceased in 2015, shortly before Fillmore's era of Mosrite production ended. This rare reissue replicates all the essential features of early Mosrite Ventures Model instruments, with smooth knobs, a sandcast Vibramute tailpiece, and prominent German Carve on the basswood body. The Dana Moseley-wound single coil pickups are extremely hotly wound, delivering ample midrange content and treble-centric cut, metering at a whopping 15.75k ohms and providing an authoritative sound that's quintessential Mosrite. Weighing 8lbs 11oz, this Mosrite has been professionally setup here at Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation. The maple neck has slender, fast-feeling C-shaped profile carve with a hair more roundness and shoulder than some vintage Mosrite carves, measuring .800" deep at the 1st fret and .835" at the 12th. On the bound dark rosewood fretboard, the slender fretwire has a fairly flat/low fret crown consistent with a vintage Mosrite factory fret dress, and the frets show no wear. A faithful reissue in every respect, this Mosrite boasts a 24 3/4" scale length and 1 1/2" fretboard width at the zero fret just forward of the aluminum nut. The headstock features Kluson-style tuners, and the serial number is stamped on the last fret into the rosewood, just like vintage examples. The headstock features unique "Mosrite of USA" text along with the Ventures Model logo.On the body, all of the stock electronics work as they should, with the original single coil pickups metering at 15.75k ohms in both positions. The CTS pots have untouched solder joints, dating to 2007. The '65 look is rounded out with a pale mint green three-ply pickguard, Mosrite of California-embossed pickup covers, and chrome-plated metal Mosrite knobs machined with smooth tops (the design that predated the more common "M" knobs). The “Vibramute” vibrato is extremely smooth and elegant, touch-sensitive in its responsiveness and made to exacting vintage spec with a sandcast base and chrome plated string anchor and arm. The vibrato arm even has the subtle "elbow" seen on early Ventures Models, a testament to all the tiny details faithfully captured by Fillmore on this model. The gloss Sunburst finish highlights the prominent German Carve, and there's barely a scratch on it.The original brown faux alligator tolex hardshell case is included, along with the original factory paperwork.
