Up for sale, a 2007 Gibson Les Paul Standard in 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This Les Paul boasts a warm Honey Burst gloss nitro lacquer finish with nickel hardware and Burstbucker Pro PAF pickups, channeling the golden age of Gibson. Unique for 2007, this Les Paul came from the factory without a pickguard, highlighting the ripples of curly flame figuring across the two-piece carved maple top which caps a weight-relieved mahogany body.Standard fare in this model as of 2007, the Burstbucker Pros are a slightly hot-rodded version of Gibson's Burstbucker PAF, with unmatched bobbin windings and Alnico V magnets (in place of the usual Alnico II). The sound is fat and meaty, interacting well with high gain amps and providing excellent feedback rejection while having a general tonal profile consistent with the PAF design. Whether you seek warm, silky neck pickup tonalities or bridge pickup sounds that have some push and growl, this Les Paul is a great candidate for covering a wide range of genres. This Les Paul is extremely lightweight at 7lbs 10oz, with a clear, lively voice that sustains beautifully. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Les Paul is dialed in with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation. The one-piece mahogany neck has a particularly slender 60s C-shaped profile carve with round, inviting shoulders and a very easy-playing feel, measuring .780" deep at the 1st fret and .890" at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard retains the stock fretwire which has its full factory height, showing moderate wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-5 and lighter wear extending until fret 10. The guitar plays cleanly in every register with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The scale length measures 24 3/4", and the nut is 1 11/16" in width. On the headstock, the original Gibson Deluxe tuners are notable for being the more vintage-correct version with push-in tuner bushings and lightly greened tulip buttons. All of the electronics work as intended and are untouched, with clean PAF stickers and additional dated stickers on the Burstbucker baseplates. The nickel hardware is bright and clean, and all original plastic parts are intact including the amber bonnet knobs. The binding has ambered, framing the Honey Burst gloss nitro top, which shows ripples of broad curly flame extending evenly across the bookmatched maple, with each half of the carve accentuating its figuring from a different angle. Cosmetic wear includes some finish scratches and minor nicks on top, with additional scattered nicks and signs of honest use on the back and body parameter, and buckle rash concentrated at the waist. The neck profile has a smooth gloss, with wear limited to some very shallow marks on the profile, mostly behind frets 7-10.The original hardshell case is included (it does have a smokey odor), and the factory paperwork is also present.
