Up for sale, a 2007 Gibson J-45 Standard in near-mint condition, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. This well-kept iteration of Gibson’s ever-popular dreadnought has been augmented with an active piezo undersaddle pickup.
Featuring a solid Sitka spruce top with straight (non-scalloped) X bracing, solid mahogany back and sides, and a one-piece mahogany neck with a dovetail joint and hot hide glue neck set, this J-45 is anything but modern, carefully utilizing traditional materials and building techniques for a J-45 tonal profile that offers a warm and full sound with healthy projection. Not overly bright, this J-45 is a big-sounding strummer with smooth low end growl when digging in hard. The treble strings have good body and a sparkling, ringing quality. This Gibson weighs 4lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with fresh 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
