Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 2007 Fender American Vintage Hot Rod ‘62 Stratocaster in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, hangtags, and case candy. Among the rarer iterations of the '62 Strat platform in the American Vintage line, this “hot rodded” model is an ideal combination of vintage aesthetics and modern player-friendly functionality, featuring a chunkier C-shaped neck profile carve, larger fretwire, a modern Fender 9.5" fretboard radius, Bridge Tone knob, and a “Thin-Skin” nitro lacquer finish.

The classic tonewood complement comprises an alder body, maple neck, and thick slab rosewood fretboard, and this Strat weighs 8lbs 1oz. The American Vintage 57/62 single coils deliver classic sparkling Strat tonalities at each position on the five-way pickup selector switch, featuring staggered, beveled Alnico V pole pieces, black fiber bobbins and cloth-covered leads. The bridge has a spanky snap, able to be particularly smooth and velvet-y via the bridge Tone knob, the neck has a bell-like clarity and girth, and the “in-between” positions yield hollow quack. This Hot Rod ‘62 Strat has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Thin-Skin Olympic White nitro lacquer finish exhibits subtle checking on the back, and cosmetic wear is limited to a couple tiny chips at the edges of the neck pocket, a few faint finish scratches on the back, and a handful of minor marks on the body as a whole. The ambered gloss on the neck profile is immaculate.

The original G&G-brand brown tolex hardshell case is included, along with the hangtags and case candy
