Up for sale, a 2007 Fender American Standard Stratocaster in exceptional condition and in perfect working order with a Blizzard Pearl gloss finish, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. This USA Strat has been hot-rodded with a bevy of upgrades including an HSH set of Bare Knuckle pickups, a 10-way Free-Way pickup selector, kill switch, Graph Tech tuners, and a Gotoh two-point tremolo. Tonewoods include an alder body paired with a one-piece maple neck, yielding a balanced natural acoustic tone, providing an ideal platform for the upgraded pickups.

The Bare Knuckle pickups are hand-wound in the UK, and the pickup complement comprises an Aftermath humbucker in the bridge position, a Mule at the neck, and a Sultan single coil in the middle position. The Aftermath is a high-output modern spec pickup with huge, punchy mids and crisp, well-articulated highs. The Mule is a PAF-style humbucker which is equally comfortable with clean, expressive melody as with overtone-rich driven, fuzzy chords. These big, dynamic pickups are augmented by the middle position Sultan single coil which brings a clucky, classic Strat squawk to the clean tones and a rich resonance to any driven sounds. Weighing 8lbs 3oz, this Strat has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The one-piece maple neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve with round shoulders and rolled fretboard edges, measuring .830” deep at the 1st fret and .870” at the 12th. The maple fretboard has a 9 1/2” radius, and the medium jumbo frets are in excellent condition with plenty of meat and well-rounded crowns, showing only very light wear under the plain strings from frets 1-5. The guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2” scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 11/16” in width, and the headstock features upgraded Graph Tech Ratio tuners which turn smoothly and hold accurate, consistent pitch.

All the electronics function as intended, with the Bare Knuckle HSH pickup array controlled by a standard Strat Vol/Tone/Tone layout and ten-way Free-Way Blade 5B5-02 pickup selector switch which delivers 10-position switching specially optimized for HSH pickup configurations. The lower bank delivers 5 humbucker selections, and the upper bank delivers the classic S-type 5-way selection from the middle single and the coil-split humbuckers. The 5B5-02 unlocks the full versatility of any HSH guitar; neck/bridge humbuckers, neck/middle/bridge single-coils, and humbucker/single coil combinations as well. The electronics are rounded out with a push-button kill switch. The harness features modern CTS pots and premium Bumblebee tone caps.

The tremolo system has been upgraded to a Gotoh 510T-FE design, offering two-point mounting, a blade pivot, steel saddles and screw-in arm. The strap buttons have been replaced as well (originals in case), and the tremolo cover plate has been removed. The hardware shines like new, and the plastics are also in exceptional condition.

The gloss Blizzard Pearl finish is well-kept, and cosmetic wear is limited to one line of finish checking on the back extending from the neck plate, a small spot of light buckle rash at the edge of the belly carve, and a couple small nicks at the bass-side waist. The satin finish on the neck is immaculate, with some light birdseye figuring on the profile length.

The original Fender-branded molded hardshell case is included, along with all factory paperwork, and the polish cloth.
