Up for sale, a 2007 Eastman Uptown AR805CE archtop in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a molded hardshell case and CoA. With its genesis as Eastman Strings in 1992, the Eastman company can trace its roots back to the violin and bow makers of the 1800s, applying Old World craftsmanship to modern archtops. This Eastman Uptown features a 16” lower bout width, hand-carved spruce top, solid hand-carved flame maple back and sides, Venetian cutaway, and Eastman-branded Kent Armstrong floating pickup.
Acoustically, this jazz box is immediate and articulate, with great natural projection and a woody chop. The Kent Armstrong mini humbucker mounted to the floating pickguard delivers a crisp, present, and defined tone with warm, broad lows and smooth mids. This Eastman weighs 5lbs 8oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Sunburst nitro lacquer finish highlights the curly flame figuring in the flame maple back and rims, and very subtle bearclaw figuring in the spruce top. Cosmetic wear is limited to sparse buckle rash in a couple areas on the back, a handful of minor chips along the rims, and a few light scratches and pinhead-sized dings on the top. The lacquer finish on the neck profile has a smooth satin feel, with light wear through the finish on the edges of the peghead.
A molded hardshell case is included, along with the original CoA, dated to March, 2007.
