Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 2006 Rickenbacker 620/12 in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Featuring one of Rickenbacker's rarest and most highly desirable Color of the Year finishes, this Ric boasts a Blue Burst gloss. And while Rickenbackers do surface occasionally from the 300 series with this rare finish, Blue Burst is far rarer on 600 series guitars.

This 12 string Rickenbacker model has a sweet, singing tone from the pair of single coil "Hi-Gain" pickups, which are capable of delivering all the jangle and sparkle one expects. The neck through body ensures great acoustic resonance and sustain, providing a smooth, chiming sound for this 12 string platform. The guitar weighs 7lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with fresh strings and low action.

The neck has a substantial C-shaped profile carve with generous shoulder and plenty of roundness, measuring .915" deep at the 1st fret and .960" at the 12th. The guitar features a 1 5/8" nut width, traditional 25" scale length, and original flawless slender frets on the slab rosewood fretboard. This 620/12 plays cleanly in every register, and the dual truss rods are optimally adjusted to keep the neck arrow straight with ideal relief. On the headstock, the original "Rickenbacker" truss rod cover is present, as well as the stock Schaller tuning machines that turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

All of the electronics work as they should, with untouched solder joints. Each pickup has its own Volume and Tone knobs, as well as the fifth (smaller) blend knob that allows you to mix in the amount of signal from the neck pickup. The guitar also boasts dual Rick-o-Sound jacks for optional stereo operation. The plastic parts are near mint, and the chrome plating on the hardware is positively gleaming.

The Blue Burst gloss finish is vibrant and glossy, framed by the ivory binding on the top. Cosmetic wear is limited to a few faint scuffs in the clear coat on the headstock face, a couple shallow nicks near the jack plate, a bit of faint finish swirling in the clear coat on the back as well as a few light finish scratches in the clear coat on the body as a whole.

The original hardshell case is included.
