Up for sale, a 2006 Gretsch G6120 Nashville in showroom-clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. An unusual iteration of the 6120 platform, this Gretsch features factory installed Grover Rotomatic tuning machines and a pinned Adjusto-matic bridge, ensuring optimal tuning stability, even with liberal Bigsby use. A reissue of the instrument that has defined the Gretsch sound for twang, Western Swing, Rockabilly, and all manner of other genres and niches, this guitar boasts the high quality craftsmanship and exceptional fit and finish work associated with the Terada factory in Japan.

A guitar that predates the renewal of Chet Atkins’ Gretsch endorsement by just one year (and as a result is devoid of the Chet name and signpost pickguard), this G6120 features a fully hellow 16" wide maple body with sound post bracing, yielding a rich, percussive voice when strummed acoustically that translates well through the Filter’Tron humbuckers. Plugged in, this 6120 has a broad sonic range, offering a punchy, sparkling bridge position sound that has plenty of muscle and breadth. The neck pickup is fat and smooth, with a distinctive thickness and bark. This Gretsch weighs 7lbs 5oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 flatwound strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
