Up for sale, a 2006 Gibson Les Paul Junior in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Featuring a Gibson factory aged TV Yellow "Faded" satin nitro lacquer finish and solid mahogany construction, this guitar brings together Gibson's prime tonal ingredients for a sound that is incredibly detailed, powerful, and dynamic. The P-90 pickup can deliver both glassy cleans and thick, roaring gain with the distinct midrange character associated with this particular style of overwound single coil. This Les Paul balances well on a strap, featherweight at 6lbs 6oz and professionally setup here at Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
The one-piece mahogany neck has a slender 60s C profile carve with nicely rounded shoulders, measuring .800” deep at the 1st fret and .900” at the 12th. On the thick slab 12" radius rosewood fretboard, the slender vintage-spec frets have ample height and crown, showing only very light wear beneath the plain strings on the crowns of frets 1-8. The guitar conforms to traditional Gibson specs with a 24 3/4" scale length, and the guitar plays easily up the straight neck with a responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The TUSQ nut measures a full 1 11/16" in width. The headstock is fitted with Gibson Deluxe double line tuners with round white tuner buttons.
All of the electronics work as they should, with the original P-90 pickup wired the traditional Les Paul control array with individual Volume and Tone controls and original black bell knobs. The nickel plated wraparound tailpiece is spotless, ensuring optimal resonance and sustain. The Faded TV Yellow finish is worn in all of the right ways from the Gibson factory for a relic’d look. There is a bit of additional natural playwear on the body parameter and on the neck profile beyond the factory aging of the satin nitro lacquer finish.
The original Gibson USA padded gigbag is included.
