Up for sale, a 2006 Gibson Custom Shop Historic 1959 ES-335 in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a Gibson Custom Shop '59-spec Lifton hardshell case and hangtags. Exceedingly faithfully to a genuine vintage example, this Nashville-made Custom Shop Gibson features a no-corners-cut design featuring ‘57 Classic PAF humbuckers, a chunky ‘59-style neck profile, long pickguard, Bumblebee tone caps, and dot inlay on the bound rosewood fretboard.
Featuring the classic tonewood complement of a maple semi-hollow body, a quartersawn mahogany neck, and a bound rosewood fretboard, this ES-335 has a naturally resonant, lively acoustic response that provides an ideal platform for the original pair of ‘57 Classic humbuckers. Featuring Alnico II magnets, the ‘57 Classic PAF pickups have a smooth, airy treble response with a touch of growl and rich harmonic content. In the neck position, this ES-335 delivers a sweetness and bell-like top end that's great for retaining clarity on solos and complex rhythm work, while the bridge pickup has more midrange aggression and treble bite. Weighing 8lbs 10oz, this ES-335 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The Sunburst nitro lacquer gloss finish has a very vintage-correct burst gradient, and cosmetic wear is limited to a few faint finish scratches and tiny dings on the body as a whole, largely relegated to the back.
