Up for sale, a 2006 Fender Yngwie Malmsteen Signature Stratocaster model ST68-195YM in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. The highest tiered Yngwie model ever offered by Fender Japan and only available in its country of origin and select international territories, this Stratocaster is an extremely rare instrument, featuring a scalloped maple fretboard, brass nut, jumbo fretwire, and a trio of DiMarzio pickups.
Weighing 7lbs 10oz, this Yngwie Strat has a lively, clear acoustic response that provides an ideal platform for the trio of DiMarzio single coil pickups. In the middle position is an HS-3 stacked single coil, a perennial DiMarzio favorite, offering hum-free performance with a broad low end that's warm and tight with a smooth, glassy treble response. The YJM DP217 stacked single coils at the neck and bridge positions were designed specifically for Malmsteen, expanding on the HS-3 platform with just a touch more brilliance and presence, particularly at the plain strings, featuring a vintage-inspired staggered pole piece design.
