Up for sale, a 2006 Fender Limited Edition Aerodyne SSH Stratocaster model AST-FR in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the hangtags. A rare non-catalog “Crafted in Japan” model virtually unseen outside its country of origin, this Superstrat boasts a shred-ready feature set including an SSH pickup complement with streamlined controls, Floyd Rose-licensed tremolo, 9 ½” fretboard radius, medium jumbo fretwire, contoured neck heel, satin neck profile finish, and a gloss Black finish accented by black plastics.
Weighing 7lbs 15oz, tonewoods include a basswood body, maple neck, and thick slab 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. The basswood body offers a neutral, balanced tonal profile, especially favored for high gain scenarios, and the Dragster bridge position humbucker is clear and powerful, equal parts punchy and cutting. The neck and middle position single coils offer more traditional Strat sparkle and chime, with a broad tonal palette accessible via the five-way pickup selector switch.
