Up for sale, a 2006 Fender Jazz Bass '75 vintage reissue left-handed model JB75 in excellent condition with a host of upgrades. One of the rarer Jazz Bass models produced by Fender Japan and virtually unseen outside its country of origin, this "Crafted in Japan" bass has a Natural gloss finish highlighting the broad, dynamic grain of the ash body. Upgrades include a pair of Bartolini pickups, a Leo Quan Badass II bridge, and a WD pickguard. At 11lbs 1oz, the sonic foundation of this Jazz Bass ensures rich tones with excellent sustain and midrange punch. The Bartolini pickups are round and detailed, with excellent articulation. The bridge pickup delivers upper midrange burp and a smooth growl balanced by the fuller thump of the neck pickup. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Jazz Bass is strung with D'addario Chromes 45-105 flatwound strings, dialed in for optimal action and intonation. The maple neck has a medium U-shaped profile carve with full shoulders and just a hair more depth in the higher registers, measuring .840" deep at the 1st fret and .955" at the 12th. The bound maple fretboard has pearl block inlay, with medium jumbo fretwire that has ample height and perfectly rounded crowns, showing just a touch of wear on the crowns of frets 1-3. The bass plays cleanly in every register with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The scale length is a full 34", and the nut is carved from bone, measuring 1 1/2" in width. The headstock features a block Jazz Bass logo with S-prefix serial number, and the tuners boast clover buttons and full-size vintage-spec baseplates, turning smoothly and holding pitch reliably. The "Crafted in Japan" text is present above the three-bolt F neck plate. All of the electronics work as they should, and the chrome hardware is bright and clean, including a Leo Quan Badass II heavy duty bridge for optimal sustain and resonance. Plastics include an upgraded USA-made WD three-ply pickguard paired with the original knob set. Cosmetic wear is limited to one finish chip on the bass-side lower bout body edge, pick wear on treble side of the strum path, and just a couple additional tiny finish scratches on the body as a whole. The unambered gloss finish on the neck profile is clean and smooth.
