Up for sale, a 2005 Toneczar Effects Echoczar analog stereo delay, Angelbaby modulation device, and expression pedal in near-mint condition and in perfect working order. This premium suite of Echoczar effects culminates to create as versatile and high-quality a delay setup as they come, based around the central Echoczar unit.
Introduced in 2004, the Echoczar was the first analog BBD delay to offer more than one second of delay time, featuring dual delay channels with a bevy of sculpting controls. Toggle between vintage, modern, echo/delay, and multi-head modes, with stereo output (output phase toggle switch), independent delay time and mix settings, and footswitchable feedback (self-oscillation) with a Safety knob to create drones and pads.
Already a versatile unit on its own, this Echoczar benefits from the inclusion of an Angelbaby modulation device, a unique accessory that provides a footswitchable third delay channel with adjustable modulation (Wow and Flutter), offering a choice of three unique chorus voices. Additionally, the entire unit can be controlled via the included expression pedal, which can dictate delay time through the Angelbaby or delay time and global repeats straight through the Echoczar itself. This pedal is a converted Ernie Ball VP Jr., selected due to the fact that the entire rotational range of the potentiometer is utilized, providing an almost unparalleled range of expression control further expanded via three-way Taper and Direction mini-toggles.
Both the Echoczar and Angelbaby feature polished chrome enclosures, and all three items are very well-kept, with sparingly little wear on the graphics and just a few small scratches on the baseplates of all three units. All three items are dated to May, 2005 and signed by Ed Rembold.
