2005 Martin Standard Series OM-35 Orchestra Model Acoustic Guitar w/ Case

Up for sale, a 2005 Martin Standard Series OM-35, complete with the original molded hardshell case. An uncommon Martin model produced in very limited quantities between 2002-2007, the OM-35 is essentially the middle ground between a D-35 and an OM-42, pairing the three-piece back and 1/4“ bracing of the former with the Orchestra body shape.

The lighter bracing and three-piece rosewood back pair for an instrument that is notably lively and even-tempered in all registers. Powerful, crisp and detailed, with Martin’s exquisite string-to-string balance and the projection afforded the 25.4” scale length, this OM has a top which has a relaxed, open sound. Woody and highly responsive to player inputs, the trebles have a sparkling cut with plenty of body for single notes, while the low end is defined with a high volume ceiling. Of course, the dimensions of an Orchestra Body Martin are ideal for voicing fingerpicked passages, and this guitar’s inherent power and vibrancy make it a rewarding strummer as well. This OM-35 weighs 4lbs 8oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.

Neck Specs:

There are a trio of professionally addressed splits on top extending behind the bridge, and limited finish loss in the clear coat along the binding. There’s a bit of expected pick wear across the soundhole, buckle rash central to the back, and some minor dings and finish scratches on the body as a whole. The neck profile is smooth and clean, with a few shallow nicks along the treble-side shoulder that are not distracting to the palm while fretting.

The original molded hardshell case is included.
