2005 Martin D-41 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar Near-Mint w/ Case & Tags
Up for sale, a 2005 Martin D-41 in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. The D-41 can trace its upscale dreadnought lineage back to Martin's Pre-War D-45, with the same tonewood recipe and premium appointments including abalone marquetry on the perimeter of the top and soundhole, hexagonal abalone fretboard inlay, and vertical C.F. Martin inlay on the bound headstock veneer.
Tonewoods include an X-braced Sitka spruce top, East Indian rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard and bridge. This D-41 is crisp and immediate, boasting Martin’s signature piano-like clarity with plenty of punch and projection on tap. The low end is warm and full, offering a touch of growl when hit hard with a flatpick, and there’s a bright, sparkling quality to the trebles that really shines through. This guitar also maintains excellent balance across all registers, with a bold, relaxed quality courtesy of a soundboard that’s been worked-in over the past couple of decades. This D-41 weighs 4lbs 12oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
