Up for sale, a 2005 Gibson Les Paul Studio in 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and all hangtags. Ordered by Gibson's Japanese distributor Yamano, Gibson's USA-made guitars distributed via Yamano are often considered among their best, featuring the highest quality woods picked for Gibson's discerning Japanese audience.

Featuring the classic tonewood combination of a mahogany body and neck paired with a carved two-piece maple top, the guitar has a commanding natural bark that translates well through the stock 490R and 498T humbuckers. Plenty of drive and punch is on tap, with a sweet, articulate tone in the neck position and plenty of growl and power at the bridge. The guitar weighs 8lbs 13oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and solid intonation.

The one-piece mahogany neck has a slender '60s-style C-shaped profile carve with good shoulder in every register and just a hair more depth as you travel up the fingerboard, measuring .815" deep at the 1st fret and .955" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard retains the original medium jumbo fretwire which has its full factory height and shows virtually no wear. The guitar plays cleanly in every register up the straight neck with an ideally adjusted, responsive truss rod. The nut measures a full 1 11/16" in width, and the face of the headstock retains the "Studio" truss rod cover. Present on the reverse side of the headstock, the original Gibson Deluxe tuning machines turn smoothly with lightly greened tulip buttons.

The stock electronics work as they should, with a three-way toggle selector and individual Volume and Tone controls for each pickup. The chrome hardware has plenty of shine with very faint surface patina, and all original plastics are accounted for including the pickguard and quartet of black speed knobs. Cosmetically, the Wine Red nitro lacquer finish shows some light scattered scuffs in the clear coat of the gloss, with a few small finish chips and nicks mostly on the back body edge, and faint buckle worming on the back. Aside from a stray microscopic mark behind fret 3, the neck profile is smooth and pristine.

The original hardshell case is included, along with all of the original Gibson/Yamano hangtags.
