Up for sale, a 2005 Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded Honey Burst in 100% original condition, complete with a hardshell case and loaded with zebra bobbin Burstbucker PAFs. Featuring a thin satin nitro lacquer finish, this Les Paul Standard has a powerful, lively natural acoustic tone. The guitar weighs 9lbs 11oz with a AA flame maple top, mahogany body, and one-piece mahogany neck with a slender '60s-style profile and bound rosewood fretboard. The Burstbucker #1 and #2 PAF humbuckers feature Alnico II magnets and deliver an array of traditional Gibson tonalities, with a dynamic and harmonically-rich bridge pickup, while a neck position humbucker is fat and sweet, retaining ideal clarity. We've had this Gibson professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation. The one-piece mahogany neck has a slender ‘60s-style C-shaped profile carve, offering round shoulders in every register and more overall heft further up the fretboard, measuring .825" deep at the 1st fret and .965" at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard features pearloid trapezoid inlays and original medium jumbo fretwire that retains its full factory height and well-rounded crowns, showing light wear on the crowns of frets 1-7 beneath the plain strings. The guitar plays cleanly up the 24 3/4“ scale, and the neck is straight with a responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 11/16" in width. The headstock is fitted with the original Gibson Deluxe Kluson-style tuning machines, matching vintage spec with push-in tuner bushings and greened keystone buttons. All of the electronics are stock and function as intended, and both humbuckers have their PAF decals and additional Burstbucker identifying stickers. The nickel-plated Nashville bridge and stopbar show just a touch of patina, and all original plastics are accounted for, including the quartet of amber bonnet knobs. The subtle Honey Burst satin nitro lacquer finish highlights straight, tight flame figuring extending evenly across the AA maple cap, and cosmetic wear includes pick scuffing across the strum path and a few small dings on the edges of the top. Additional wear comprises light buckle wear at the bass-side waist on the back, and a few additional localized marks along the back lower bout body edge. The satin finish on the neck profile is clean and smooth.A brown tolex hardshell case with pink plush interior is included. The case retains its original latches, while the handle is no longer present.
