Up for sale, a 2004 Mosrite Mark I 1965 “FH Custom” in 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A one-of-one custom-built example boasting an “001” serial number, this exceedingly rare Mark-I variant was produced by Mosrite's official licensee, Fillmore, retaining all the essential features of an early 1965 Ventures Model with distinct cosmetic appointments including smooth knobs, a sandcast Vibramute tailpiece, and a gloss Sparkle Sky Blue finish accented by gold hardware.

Few guitars have a more storied history than the Mosrite brand, especially in the modern era, and this particular guitar is a rare, upper-tiered model crafted by Fillmore in Japan. Perhaps best known for being imported to the USA by Ed Roman and also for their partnership with Dana Moseley, Mosrite founder Semie Moseley's daughter, Fillmore crafted extremely faithful Mosrites, worthy of Semie Moseley's legacy.

The single coil pickups have ample power and midrange content, wound faithfully to vintage-spec at 11.9k ohms in both pickup positions. These single coils are meaty and rich, with tons of twang and a broad bass register not often afforded a single coil, providing an authoritative sound that's quintessential Mosrite. Weighing 8lbs 14oz, this Mark I 1965 “FH Custom” has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Sparkle Sky Blue finish has a touch of checking at the neck heel, and cosmetic wear includes an area of chipped finish through the metalflake on the back treble-side lower bout edge, revealing the white base coat. Similar wear down to the base coat is present at the bass-side waist, with a few additional minor dings and finish scratches on the rest of the body. The gloss on the neck profile is clean, with one shallow chip in the metalflake (smooth to the touch) behind the 15th fret.

The original Mosrite hardshell case is included.
