Up for sale, a 2004 Line 6 Variax Acoustic 700 guitar in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag, footswitch, cable, and paperwork. This Variax Acoustic 700 is crafted with a mahogany body, spruce top, mahogany neck, and thick slab rosewood fretboard, while detailed onboard modeling provides stunning classic profiles from Gibson, Martin, and Guild to name a few.
Piezo bridge saddles capture each individual string's vibrations, which are processed through software algorithms that capture the physical properties of the modeled guitars. This process dynamically alters Variax Acoustic's own natural string vibrations in real time to match the modeled instrument's unique tonal characteristics. That means there's no delay caused by having to detect a pitch and turn it into a MIDI note, and there's also no issue with tracking hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides, bends, slurs, or any other key nuances that are part of your personal style. This Variax Acoustic weighs 7lbs 11oz, and has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’ Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and comfortable action.
The mahogany neck has a medium depth soft V-shaped profile carve at the nut, filling out to a more rounded C shape as you travel up the fretboard, measuring .850” deep at the 1st fret and .930“ at the 9th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard features Martin-style diamond inlay and pristine stock medium jumbo fretwire. The guitar plays easily in every register with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The scale length is 25 1/2", and the nut measures 1 11/16" in width. The headstock features a set of Sperzel locking tuners that turn smoothly and hold pitch as they should.
Controls consist of sliders for Mic Position, Volume, and Compression, while the Model Select knob offers 16 Variax Acoustic models with alternate tunings. Connections include a standard 1/4“ instrument out and a digital I/O jack, while the included direct box footswitch provides power plus 1/4" standard guitar and XLR balanced outputs. The rosewood bridge sits flush with the top, featuring individual piezo pickups on each saddle. The spruce top is framed by multi-ply cream binding, with a multi-ring rosette. Cosmetic wear is limited to faint scuffing in the pick path and on the back treble side lower bout, with a stray minuscule mark in the clear coat at the bass side lower bout edge. The neck profile sports a pristine smooth gloss finish.
The original gigbag, footswitch, cable, and paperwork are included.
