Up for sale, a 2004 Gretsch Duo Jet model G6128T in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This Gretsch has the traditional tonewood combination of a maple top and chambered mahogany body. Loaded with Filter'Tron humbucking pickups, this Jet has a broad sonic range, offering a punchy, sparkling bridge position sound that has plenty of muscle and breadth. The neck pickup is fat and smooth, with a distinctive thickness and bark that retains enough clarity for complex chording. Weighing 7lbs 2oz, this Duo Jet has been dialed in here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings and low action.

The mahogany neck has a slender soft V-shaped profile, measuring .845" deep at the 1st fret and .940" at the 12th. The rosewood fingerboard has white binding and pearl thumbnail inlay with a 12" radius and original slender frets which have their full factory height and well-rounded crowns, showing just a touch of wear on the crowns beneath the plain strings on frets 1-4. The neck is straight and the truss rod is responsive and optimally adjusted, with notes that ring out cleanly up the 24.6" scale. The bone nut measures 1 11/16" in width, and the original Grover Sta-Tite open-gear tuners are intact on the headstock.

On the body, all of the electronics work as they should and the controls are simple, straight ahead, classic Gretsch. The guitar features a three-way pickup selector toggle, three-way Tone switch (bypassed in the middle), Master Volume knob on the treble side cutaway, and individual Volume knobs just south of the Bigsby. The serialized model label is visible in the control cavity (along with the USA-made CTS pots), matching the serial number on the back of the headstock.

The nickel plating is bright and clean on the Filter'Tron covers, and the G pointer knobs are also well-kept. The Space Control bridge works well with the Bigsby B3G vibrato which actuates easily and stays in tune well with a responsive spring. Cosmetic wear on the gloss Black finish is limited to a few light finish scratches and scuffs on the back. The rear control cavity covers still retain their protective factory film, indicative of the limited use this guitar has seen in nearly 20 years. The gloss finish on the neck profile is smooth and nigh flawless.

The original hardshell case is included.
