Up for sale, a 2004 Fender Telecaster Custom ‘62 vintage reissue model TL62B-75TX in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. This “Crafted in Japan” Tele was produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and is uncommon outside of its country of origin, featuring a pair of factory-installed USA-made Texas Special pickups and a rare custom color Transparent Red gloss finish.
The tonewood complement comprises an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, and this Tele weighs 8lbs 2oz. The Texas Special pickups feature all the hallmarks of vintage Tele pickup design, with a brass baseplate and staggered alnico poles on the bridge pickup, black fiber bobbins, and push-back cloth-covered leads. A pickup that has a bit more kick than a traditional Tele thanks with a slightly overwound design, the Texas Specials offer plenty of snap, and snarl, with chewy twang at the bridge and bell-like fullness at the neck. This TL62B-75TX has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Chunky C, full shoulders, measuring .860” 1st fret, .980” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, 7 1/4” vintage-spec radius
-Frets: Slender, virtually no wear
-Scale Length: 25 1/2”
-Nut: 1.650” (42mm), bone
-Tuners: Kluson-style, Gotoh
-Serialization: “Crafted in Japan,” Q-prefix, model stamps in neck pocket
Body Specs:
-Wood: Alder
-Pickups: Texas Special single coil (USA-made) x2
-Harness: Full-size GuitarFamily Japanese 250K pots, cloth-covered leads
-Hardware: “Pat. Pend” bridge with upgraded brass barrel saddles, dome-top knurled knobs and square jack plate (replacement)

The gloss custom color Transparent Red finish is framed on both sides by cream binding, and cosmetic wear is limited to a handful of faint scratches on the back and just a scant few marks on the body as a whole. The smooth ambered gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
A padded gigbag is included.
