This “Crafted in Japan” iteration of the Strat XII platform comes from the 2004-2009 production run, featuring a trio of USA-made Custom Shop Texas Special pickups.

Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and a slab rosewood fretboard, and this Stratocaster weighs 7lbs 7oz. The USA-made Custom Shop Texas Special single coils match vintage spec with black fiber bobbins, cloth-covered leads and staggered alnico magnets, delivering a bevy of sparkling classic Strat tonalities with a slightly aggressive overwound snap that captures plenty of 12-string chime. This ST12-90TX has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
