Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 2004 Fender Precision Bass ‘70 vintage reissue in 100% original condition and in perfect working order. A "Crafted in Japan" model, this bass features a factory-installed Fender American Standard split coil P Bass pickup, along with a few select vintage-spec touches including a block logo on the headstock, proper thumb rest placement, and black pickguard.

One welcome deviation from vintage spec is a thick slab rosewood fretboard (as opposed to a thinner veneer board seen on actual vintage examples). With an alder body as its sonic foundation, this bass delivers the goods with warm thump, excellent articulation, and sweet treble growl. Weighing 9lbs 2oz, this Precision Bass PB70-70US has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and accurate intonation.

Neck Specs:

-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium C, measuring .845” 1st fret, .950” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, 7 1/4" vintage-spec radius
-Frets: Slender, light wear on frets 1-3
-Scale Length: 34”
-Nut: 1 9/16”, bone
-Tuners: Clover button
-Serialization: “Crafted in Japan,” Q-prefix

Body Specs:

-Wood: Alder
-Pickups: P-Bass Vintage (USA-made) x1
-Controls: Volume, Tone
-Hardware: Bridge with steel saddles, flat topped knurled knobs (chrome)
-Plastics: Three-ply black pickguard, thumb rest

The gloss Olympic White finish exhibits some yellowing of the clear coat, with one "tan line" from a previously removed sticker on the back, and only a few additional minor dings on the back and along the lower bout perimeter. The smooth ambered gloss on the neck profile is flawless.

A padded gigbag is included.
