Up for sale, a 2004 Fender Jeff Beck Signature Stratocaster in near-mint 100% original condition and perfect working order, complete with the original Fender/G&G Deluxe tweed hardshell case and all hangtags and case candy. With a legendary career spanning several decades following his rise to fame in The Yardbirds, Jeff Beck has consistently risen to the top of many "best guitarist of all time" and "most influential guitarist" lists. One of Fender's most enduring signature artist models, the Jeff Beck Stratocaster features Deluxe Schaller locking tuners, an LSR ball bearing roller nut, Fender Hot Noiseless single coils, and a modern two-point synchronized tremolo (because anybody who's seen Jeff play knows how hard he wrangled his trem).Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and an extremely dark, thick slab 22 fret rosewood fretboard, delivering a focused, clear tone with lots of top end, qualities that translate faithfully via the Hot Noiseless single coil pickups. These hum-free pickups feature ceramic magnet construction, delivering a combination of warmth and punch with cutting bluesy articulation. The neck is throaty and full, the high-output bridge has a sharp bite and takes gain notably well, and there’s quintessential hollow Strat quack at the “in-between” positions on the five-way selector switch. Weighing 8lbs 5oz, this Jeff Beck Strat benefits from a professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation. The maple neck has a slender, fast-feeling C-shaped profile carve with well-rounded shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .820” deep at the 1st fret and .920” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard is a dark, tight-grained cut with a modern 9 1/2“ radius and pristine medium jumbo fretwire. This guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2“ scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The LSR Roller nut measures 1 11/16” in width, enabling smooth vibrato actuation and helping return quickly to pitch from deeper dives. The headstock features Jeff Beck’s signature, and the stock locking Schaller tuners turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch, with a staggered post design to ensure an ideal break angle over the nut. The heel is contoured for exceptional access to the upper frets, and the neck heel and pocket retain all of their factory stamps, with a Feb 4th, 2004 stamp on the heel. All of the electronics function as intended, with the Hot Noiseless pickups governed by a five-way selector switch and Volume/Neck Tone/Bridge + Middle Tone knobs. The CTS 250k pots date to the 5th week of '03. All of the chrome-plated hardware shines like new, including the jack cup and two-point vibrato, and the steel block saddles are notably clean as well. Plastics are all notably clean, comprising the knobs, “Noiseless” silkscreen script pickup covers and three-ply white pickguard. The gloss custom color Surf Green finish is exceedingly clean, with just a scant few faint finish scratches in the clear coat on the body as a whole. The satin finish on the neck profile is flawless. The original Fender/G&G Deluxe tweed hardshell case is included, along with the hangtags and case candy.
