Up for sale, a 2004 Fender Jazzmaster '62 reissue model JM66-80 in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This "Crafted in Japan" Jazzmaster is rarely seen outside its country of origin, offering a broad range of vintage-flavored tonalities with a rich three-tone Sunburst gloss finish on the alder body. The instrument has plenty of twang and sparkle on tap, with a range of defined and powerful tones from the two single coil pickups, and warm, wooly sounds when switched to the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn. Weighing 8lbs 3oz, this Jazzmaster balances well on a strap and has a smooth, clear acoustic voice. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, this Jazzmaster is dialed in for low action and accurate intonation with 10-46 roundwound strings. The amber-tinted maple neck has a modestly slender C-shaped profile carve at the nut, with a bit more overall heft and notable shoulder as you travel up the fretboard, measuring .825” deep at the 1st fret and .925” at the 12th. The thick rosewood fretboard has lightly rolled edges for added comfort, and the original slender vintage-style frets retain their full factory height with well-rounded crowns, showing virtually no wear. The scale length is a full 25 1/2", the fretboard has a vintage-spec 7 1/4" radius, and the nut measures 42mm in width (1.650"). The headstock sports a Pre-CBS style "Spaghetti" Jazzmaster logo, with Kluson-style tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold pitch well. The "Crafted in Japan" script text and Q-prefix serial number are present above the four-bolt neck plate. All of the electronics work as they should, and the chrome hardware is bright and clean, with just a dusting of surface patina on the vibrato. The vibrato unit engages smoothly for quick warbles and surfy dives, working in concert with the stock bridge. The plastic parts include a deep reddish brown tortoise pickguard and lightly aged pickup covers and knobs. Cosmetic wear is limited to a few small dings and faint finish scratches on the body as a whole, while the ambered gloss on the neck profile is flawless.***We are dealers for the Mastery M2 bridge, OMV-P Offset Vibrato, and Lollar pickups, any or all of which can be installed prior to shipment for an additional charge***
