Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 2004 Fender Jazz Bass ‘62 vintage reissue model JB62-58 in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. This “Crafted in Japan” Jazz Bass was produced for the Japanese domestic market and is uncommon outside of its country of origin, featuring a custom color Gunmetal Blue finish.

Tonewoods include a basswood body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard, and this bass weighs 9lbs 9oz. There’s plenty of midrange presence and articulate growl on tap via the pair of single coil pickups, and rolling off the Tone knob yields round thump. This JB62-58 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and spot-on intonation.

Neck Specs:

-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium U, measuring .850” 1st fret, .975” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, 7 1/4” vintage-spec radius
-Frets: Slender, virtually no wear
-Scale Length: 34”
-Nut: 1 1/2”, bone
-Tuners: Clover button
-Serialization: “Crafted in Japan,” Q-prefix

Body Specs:

-Wood: Basswood
-Pickups: JB-Single x2
-Controls: Volume/Volume/Tone knobs
-Hardware: Bridge with steel barrel saddles, chrome knurled knobs (replacement)
-Plastics: Three-ply black pickguard

Gentle yellowing of the clear coat has given the gloss Gunmetal Blue custom color finish a subtle green hue, and cosmetic wear is limited to light buckle rash on the back and just a scant few minor dings on the body as a whole, largely constrained to the lower bout perimeter. The smooth ambered gloss on the neck profile is flawless.

A gigbag is included.
