Up for sale, a 2004 McElroy 00 acoustic guitar in near-mint, 100% original condition, complete with the original hardshell case. Handbuilt here in Seattle, Washington by luthier Brent McElroy, this one-owner instrument was made with exquisite care and attention to detail. Weighing 4lbs 3oz, tonewoods include a Sitka spruce top with prominent bearclaw figuring, deeply figured and bookmatched quilted maple back and sides, and a mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard and flame maple binding.

A unique Gurian/Cumpiano fan bracing system maximizes tone and timbre without sacrificing structural integrity, applying classical guitar bracing concepts to steel string construction. The 00-style body construction delivers a sweet, balanced sound, with equally crisp projection and presence across each string. The body shape is also sympathetic to fingerpicking, and the combination of tonewoods offer tonal versatility that suits a broad range of genres and gigging/recording scenarios. This McElroy 00 benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh 12-54 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
