Up for sale, a 2003 Ibanez Prestige SRG2520 Spot Model in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original padded gigbag. This extremely rare Ibanez was a non-catalog "Spot Model," produced in sparingly limited quantities at the Fujigen factory exclusively for Japanese retailer Shimamura Musical Instruments Co. It's estimated that only about 150 were produced. Features include a gloss White finish accented by a white pearloid pickguard, with pearloid binding on the 24-fret fingerboard, a DiMarzio IBZ humbucker pair, and an Edge Pro tremolo.
Tonewoods include a basswood body, three-piece maple neck, and rosewood fretboard, and this SRG2520 weighs 7lbs 14oz. The DiMarzio IBZ humbuckers are rich and powerful: The neck pickup is fairly bright-sounding, similar to a Super 2 (DP104), while the bridge pickup has additional power and sonic breadth, resembling a cross between the Steve Morse Bridge Model (DP200) and the Super Distortion (DP100). Additionally, the five-way pickup selector switch enables coil tapping functionality for single coil sparkle and bite. This SRG2520 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.
