Up for sale, a 2003 Gretsch 6120N “New Nashville” in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A very rare iteration of the 6120 only offered from 2001-2003 in limited quantities, this Gretsch features a thinline (only 1 11/16” deep) semi-hollow body with a distinctive florentine cutaway. Perfect for players seeking a middle ground between Gretsch and Gibson, this 6120N was crafted at the Terada factory in Japan.

Tonewoods include a 16” wide maple body with a maple centerblock, a two-piece rock maple neck, and a bound rosewood fingerboard with hump block inlay. The guitar has an acoustic voice with more note attack and immediacy than a typical 6120, handling gain very well given the slender body depth and center block. The Filter’Tron humbuckers have a powerful sound in all pickup positions, with bold, sparkling trebles, rich midrange punch, and focused, taut low end that has a sweet bloom as notes sustain. This Gretsch weighs 8lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 roundwound strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

Cosmetic wear on the gloss Western Orange Stain finish is limited to some faint scratches in the clear coat on the back, well shy of full-on “buckle rash," as well as some very light scuffing along the strum path on top. The smooth gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless.

The original black tolex hardshell case with red plush interior is included.
