2003 Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus AAA Flame Top w/ Burstbucker Pro PAFs, Case

Up for sale, a 2003 Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus, complete with the original hardshell case. An upper-tiered “Plus” model featuring very tight, straight tiger flame across the carved, bookmatched two-piece maple top, this Les Paul Standard is outfitted with its stock pair of Burstbucker Pro PAF humbuckers.

A slightly hot-rodded version of Gibson's Burstbucker PAF, the Burstbucker Pros have unmatched bobbin windings and Alnico V magnets (in place of the usual Alnico II). The sound is fat and meaty, interacting well with high gain amps and providing excellent feedback rejection while having a general tonal profile consistent with the PAF design. For warm, silky neck pickup tonalities or bridge pickup sounds that have some push and growl, this Les Paul is a great candidate for covering a wide range of genres. Weighing 9lbs 11oz, this Les Paul Standard Plus has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Heritage Cherry Sunburst nitro lacquer finish highlights the very tight/straight flame figuring on the tiger maple top, particularly dynamic at the lower bout. There is buckle rash central to the back, some minor dings on the lower bout, and one small chip on the top at the binding edge adjacent to the knobs. The neck profile retains its smooth nitro gloss, with a few tiny marks along the profile length, virtually undetectable to the palm.

The original Gibson USA hardshell case is included.
